NeXGen users have been upgrading to Allied's TXA firmware platform at a rapid pace. Love's Country Stores, Mapco Express, and Travel Centers of America are among dozens of customers taking advantage of the platform's flexibility at hundreds of locations across the nation.
Allied's TXA firmware allows users to standardize on a single version of firmware that can be used at a location regardless of the dispenser manufacturer.
The latest TXA firmware includes updates to XML functionality and also removes FTP functionality for PCI compliance.
Quarterly Firmware Releases
Allied has implemented a go-forward policy of quarterly firmware releases. The standardization on a single TXA release allows Allied's engineering and QA groups to better manage the firmware release process. This means fewer releases of firmware that are thoroughly tested and much more robust.
All NeXGen units being shipped today include the TXA firmware, giving immediate benefit to the end user.
The Q4 release of TXA firmware is available for production. The version is TXA6502N Rev 4.
