After decades of remarkable service, the Battleship USS New Jersey rests at her final destination on the Camden waterfront in New Jersey. But her legacy lives on as an educational museum as well as an extraordinary backdrop for special occasions. One such occasion will be an evening of waterfront dining and entertainment hosted by Allied Electronics at the end of the first day of Think Tank 2010.

Reservations for the conference, scheduled for September 14th and 15th, appear to be this fall’s hot ticket item and sponsors are lining up to see and be seen by those driving the industry’s technical decisions.

Many sites installing the new Wayne Secure Payment Modules (SPM) keypads are seeing “Can’t Process PIN” with the first test debit transaction. In some cases, this is because the DSM was removed AFTER the ANDI or NeXGen had already come online.

ANDI or NeXGen will automatically “lock” on the presence of the DSM and will forever “look” for it rather than rely on the SPM for the PIN block if the DSM was connected when the site controller was initially brought online.

If this happens, remove the DSM and then cold start the ANDI or NeXGen. This will clear the site controller’s memory and cause it to only see the SPM upon configuration.
