Tech Support’s Tip of the Day

Tech TipTo perform a software download on the NeXGen controller, the ANDI_DGS application is required – but patience is still a virtue. Some NeXGen software versions take upwards of 5 or more minutes to completely download. The ANDI_DGS application provides the user with a “Firmware Updating” and “Reloading” box and a warning to not “de-energize the NeXGen.” The technician should sit back, relax, and wait for the NeXGen startup beep sequence before doing anything else. The ANDI_DGS application will display an information box indicating that the installation is complete. It will also display the MAC address of the NeXGen if connected to the LAN.

For further troubleshooting assistance, contact Allied’s tech support group.

Fun Fact
Fun Fact

The “Star-Spangled Banner,” was originally written as a poem by Francis Scott Key entitled “Defence of Fort McHenry" and printed in a Baltimore newspaper. It soon became a popular song, sung to the tune of the drinking song “To Anacreon in Heaven,” which was attributed to the British composer John Stafford Smith. Key’s poem became the new lyrics to Smith’s melody, resulting in America’s national anthem.
