Petroleum Sorbent Particulate is a selective sorbent which will absorb Hydrocarbon-based liquids (oleohilic) and repel aqueous-based liquids (hydrophobic). Particulate materials are used in packaging applications where breakage of container could casue a release of a petroleum product. Particulate is also useful when combined with a wire fence as a barrier to filter out oils and other hazardous liquids in flowing water. It can be used for manual placement or for mechanical blowing in open areas on large spills.
